Abstract

Marginal field operators inherit sparse data and short appraisal budgets. We integrated six suites of well logs with 3D seismic attribute analysis to delineate four sandstone reservoir units in an offshore Niger Delta block. Petrophysical evaluation returned average effective porosity of 24% and water saturation between 28% and 41%. Volumetric estimation places recoverable reserves between 18 and 26 million barrels.
